Scottie Scheffler wins his 2nd Masters Tournament in a row! The number one player in the world solidified his legacy as he played solid throughout the tournament!
While his putting has taken some hits this year, no one can take away what he has done from tee to green.
- No. 1 – Strokes Gained Overall
- No. 2 – Strokes Gained Off the Tee
- No. 1 – Strokes Gained Approach to Green
So what are his secrets other than unbelievable talent and composure?
Tee it High and Let it Fly!
In his post round press conference Scottie was candid about teeing it high and letting it fly! He said, the fairways at Augusta are fairly wide so penalties were not that significant. And, the longer off the tee you are, the shorter your shot to the green. That allowed him to hit very select shots into the greens. Most of our golfers want to hit more GIR this year so here are a couple posts to read on getting more distance off the tee!
